If the general Internet was based on torrents, then the required upload ratio enforcement would have ensured bots contribute to the reliability rather than destabilize the infrastructure.
- ivanjermakov 1y agoThe problem would move from verifying legitimacy of agent actions to legitimacy of agent reputation, which might even be easier to spoof.

- thatcat 1y agoThere are tracker ecosystems that enforce ratio, what.cd for example had developed a pretty advanced torrent economic rule set.
- areyourllySorry 1y agoI know what you mean but it's not part of the protocol and I don't think you could enforce it on an internet scale
