It would be similar to getting a cert for myapp.github.io, technically perfectly valid but GitHub can add any moment steal the name from you since they are the owner, not you
- schoen 1y agoThat's a significant distinction. In partial mitigation of this, Let's Encrypt will issue IP address certificates valid for only 6 days (not 90 days or 365 days or any other period). > They'll only be available under the shortlived profile (which has a 6-day validity period)
