How did they do that pretty "GEMINI" gradient in the terminal? is that a thing we can do nowadays? It doesn't seem to be some blocky gradient where each character is a different color. It's a true gradient.
(yes I'm aware this is likely a total clone of claude code, but still am curious about the gradient)
- krat0sprakhar 1y agoLook at the package.json inside the CLI folder https://www.npmjs.com/package/ink-gradient https://www.npmjs.com/package/ink-gradient
- ars 1y agoMaybe this will help: https://github.com/armanirodriguez/ansifade-py https://github.com/armanirodriguez/ansifade-py And it is a blocky gradient, each character is a color. It's just the gradient they chose is slow enough that you don't notice.
- cperry 1y agowe went through several versions of this, it was the second most fun part after authoring the witty loading phrases.
- frabcus 1y agoFor the record, I find the witty loading phrases a real turn-off. It makes me feel like I don't know what it is doing, and it is being patronising.
