Politically charged opinions aren't necessarily associated with culture war identity. People can have individually reached conclusions. My individually reached conclusion is that the big 3 are obsolete manufacturers of last centuries technology.
If the big 3 US auto makers can't keep up with technical innovation, they should go bankrupt, displaced by more innovative competitors.
If the tri-opoly can't be displaced by domestic competition, it should be displaced by foreign competition.
