This is an all too common experience for me as well with "AI". It does exactly what you described as well as all kinds of other AI-brainfarts. It's made me about 2% more productive when it autocompletes the log statement I'm about to write, and even that it gets wrong a lot of the time. Artificial colors and artificial flavors and artificial intelligence all have something in common - they are not as good as the real thing, and probably never will be.
