I listened to their podcast with Dwarkesh and found them incredibly off putting. They’ve done so little confidence modeling and have completely failed to understand they’re dealing with a chaotic system. The smartest people in the world struggle to predict Apple’s stock price next year and yet they think they’ve found a formula to predict the onset of super intelligence. Pure hubris. I really appreciate the write up, it’s refreshing to see a review with such rigor.
