Can't do business in CA: Gas may spike to $8/gal as 2 major refineries shut down
- johndoe0815 1y ago$8/gal is 1.82€/l. That’s about the price level of gas we have to pay in Germany for a number of years now…
- jfengel 1y agoWhich is why Germany has a functioning public transit system, and why America has a public that screams any time gas gets above $3/gallon.
- jleyank 1y agoCan they nationalize the things? Is this simple coercion or is there legitimate business issues. If it’s the latter, Cal could cover. In today’s political climate, I am rather suspicious of petro companies and states. How complete is an Ev network in SoCal?
- toomuchtodo 1y agoCalifornia is the world’s fourth largest economy. Close the refineries as superfund sites to be remediated and continue the transition to electrification, with greater subsidies if needed (for both vehicles and charging infrastructure). Fiat is going to be spent either way.
