A knighthood is not a hereditary title.
- aussiegreenie 1y agoKnighthoods can be hereditary titles. A Baronet is "Sir" and it passes through the eldest son of a Baronet. It is one of the lowest ranks in the Peerage.
- profsummergig 1y agoIs it a royal title? Or would the pedant argue that it's not a title bestowed by royals (i.e. a royal title)? My statement included "royal titles".
