What a dumb title. Its like saying "the MacBook Pro outsold Linux 10-to-1!" It doesn't make any sense. They're really talking about the G1, not Android.

- DenisM 18y agoIt's not dumb. As a developer I care about install base and this is a valid comparison.
- gotsomeideas 18y agoNo, its not. No one is selling Android, they're selling the G1. The iPhone can't outsell Android because it's freely available software meant to run on a multitude of devices. You can't compare a single device to a platform that is currently only available on one device. If you're basing your decisions as a developer on this information, you're missing the big picture.
