Check out YouTube and see the high rate of ballistic missiles thrown at Israel. Those existed for years, and were developed for this exact purpose. It just so happened they didn't have the nuclear warhead yet. I repeat the question: are you really asking why a country would be afraid of a regime which is literally raining ballistic missiles over them?
