I’m increasing obsessed with the idea that the user—not some engagement algorithm—should be in the drivers seat. This is an interesting way to go about it…
- wussboy 1y agoI’m starting to look at “engagement” as an anti-statistic. Like, if you’re chasing engagement, what other more meaningful thing are you ignoring? Or, the more engagement something has, the less value it has to society.
- layer8 1y agoYou can use YouTube with just the subscriptions list and never visit the algorithmic tab. That’s how I use it most of the time.
