There was no such thing as a “male body,” Strangio told his colleagues: “A penis is not a male body part. It’s just an unusual body part for a woman.”
My dog has a penis. I assume that the penis is a male body part and therefore my dog is a male. Is this correct for my dog but not for a human male? Incorrect for both? Correct for both? What is it about the human species that might make it different for us? What would Strangio tell me?
