Is it? I was under the impression that it started around Redwood City or Menlo Park and went south from there... and that there was also a lot in San Francisco.
Are there startups around, say, San Mateo?
- macros 14y agoWikia was in San Mateo for a few years before moving to SF. Cheap place to bootstrap, easy access to SF and the valley. Not convenient for people in the east bay, but otherwise not bad.
- jtmcmc 14y agothere are quite a few in san mateo, marketo (late growth startup) is in San Mateo for instance.
