He is not saying "nuclear power" as a concept sucks or is a problem, or that the French nuclear plants made things worse, only that our nuclear plants kind of suck, which is true. As is typical, you seem to miss completely any sort of nuance when you think and talk about these issues, especially considering the context. You say you understand it, you provide some article to "back it up", but everything points towards you misunderstanding most of the content you seem to consume.
