- squircle 1y agoOf course. Source materials are critical. I used to be diligent about this. Way back when a friend told me I read for pleasure (this was never true, escapism at best but more likely an adaptation), which I naturally took as an affront and a challenge... The past 5 or 6 years or so I've made a conscious decision to firehose myself and study the effect on my consciousness. It has been fun and interesting to say the least but, non plus ultra.
