  Unfortunately indeed. I lament the necessity of microservices at my current job. It’s just such a silver bullet for so many scaling problems. The scaling problems we face could probably be solved by other solutions, but the company is primed and ready to chuck functionality into new microservices. That’s what all our infrastructure is set up to do, and it’s what inevitably happens every time
