Why not just recreate the [original experiment](https://www.nngroup.com/articles/hamburger-menus/ https://www.nngroup.com/articles/hamburger-menus/) rather than citing a book that uses different methodology? Given the original study shows quite comprehensively how bad a design pattern it is, it would be far more interesting to see that research repeated rather than a test on hamburger variations.
