    I think the point is that the rest of the country will soon catch up to what border states have known for decades. Undocumented immigrants are too important to the economy.[0] But excellent for scaring people into voting a certain way.     State/county/local police know to avoid politically powerful big businesses in their area. National-level ICE did not.
