The Brevard County sheriff's threatening death to folks[1] was hard to believe — even for cops, and even for Florida.
I did get a chuckle, though, out of his promise to run down people who flee: if doughnut boy tried to do a 50m shuttle run, Brevard County would be in the market for a new sheriff.

- treetalker 1y agoI don't mind that my comment above got downvoted right after I posted it. Just came back to point out that, after noting the sheriff's insane comments, we've now had what appears to be a targeted political assassination of Democrat legislators in Minnesota. True, it's not Florida, but the extreme right-wing views behind the threats of violence of LEOs (of all people) and the actual violence of the assassin are the same.
