Correction, people were saying that FB couldn't beat their competition and had to buy them.
- parsimo2010 1y agoIf people were saying that there was no way to beat them, then Instagram and WhatsApp weren't bad acquisitions.
- jordanb 1y agoFacebook couldn't beat them on merit because it's not very good at what it does. It does, however, have money because it was good at one thing one time, and therefore it could solve its inability to execute with M&A.
