- pezezin 1y agoIsn't Alpine only used as a base image for containers?
- msgodel 1y agoNo it runs well on hardware. I ran it as my primary OS for years. It actually has a few neat features that are only useful when booting into it like LBU. That was great for getting the last couple years out of my old macbook pro. The hard disk connector stopped working after the nth time I had to replace the little flex cable so I switched to running Alpine from a ram disk using LBU to handle changes to /etc.
