None of this addresses the root cause. Why do people come here? Because their countries have little opportunity or are repressive in some way. Raising global equality of opportunity, income, respect (i.e. minorities and women) would address the cause rather than the emotionally-charged (on purpose) symptom. So would an "onboarding" process rather than a demonizing process. Not so long ago, Italian immigrants were not considered "white", and others were reviled. Yet, they built this country.
