    Sure, if you don't want your wings anymore. The wings are the primary fuel tanks. You can drain the fuel out during flight but the process can take hours.

        There is a fuel drain button, it's just slow. Google "fuel jettison". Sometimes you have to make an emergency descent and the plane is too heavy (or too dangerous to carry so much fuel). From the ground it would look like "chemtrails". You can look up videos of this on YouTube.

    No. Some aircraft allow fuel dumps but it is a slow process and done at higher elevation relative to the ground.

    That would create a trolley problem dilemma of its own, especially over populated areas.

    The plane crashed shortly after takeoff in a populated area. Dropping 100 tons of fuel or tanks on buildings is not good. Large jets can usually dump fuel but this is something that takes time. It's sometimes used in less urgent situations where the plane can still fly safely, like a landing gear malfunction or single engine failure.

        Oddly they concatenate his names just as it appears in the passenger manifest (which airlines often do). But that’s not his name.

        They concatenated the first name & middle name i think.

        His name is Vishwash Kumar Ramesh. But, like an odd game of telephone or something, many news sites are displaying his name as Vishwashkumar Ramesh. And it seems the error is due to the passenger manifest. Airlines often combine first and middle names. It’s odd for news sites to not notice the error. Especially when also naming the brother who has a similarly-constructed name (Nayan Kumar Ramesh and also the deceased brother/passenger Ajay Kumar Ramesh). It’s probably due to western unfamiliarity of the Indian name. (They wouldn’t make the error with a Davidwilliam).

It crashed through the dorms of a medical college. The injured must be from there. Unlikely anyone on the plane survived. Edit: Looks like 1 guy from the plane made it.
