    It was though. It hallucinated words that weren't in the text and criticised entirely fine things.

      Entirely fine to you. To me the criticism made sense given the instructions it was given. To make a minor error just makes it no better than a human. It did not hallucinate words that weren't in the text - there was a "this", just in the following sentence -, and when you make an error like that, it's quite ironic in this context that you're demanding better precision from a model you have such low opinion of than what you've demonstrated yourself.
