- hn_throwaway_99 1y agoThe issue with things like cologuard is they really only detect cancer. Colonoscopies can prevent cancer by having polyps removed before they turn into cancer. Colonoscopy is a more invasive procedure obviously, but complication rates are very low. It's worth it to find a great gastroenterologist to do the procedure.
