Let me get this straight: Apple is so far behind on AI they wrote an entire research paper to confirm what we all, already know: LLMs aren't smart, and are just really good guessing machines. I didn't need Apple to tell me this, or spend millions on a study to prove what I see everyday using AI. Am I missing something? Did this paper cause AI investors to flee...or just buy Apple some more time?

- bigbuppo 1y agoWhen you have big investors that are screaming about why you aren't pivoting to video, err, AI, then you have to do something to prove to those idiots that you actually looked into it and don't want to spend tens of billions of dollars on something that doesn't do what it says on the tin.
