I wish it would break history and let Spotlight and show me the path for the file it has found. Is it 2023/accounts.xlsx or 2024/accounts.xlsx or 2025/accounts

I wish it would break history and let Spotlight and show me the path for the file it has found.
Is it 2023/accounts.xlsx or 2024/accounts.xlsx or 2025/accounts.xlsx? Who knows!
- pier25 1y agoAlfred will show you the full path of the search results https://www.alfredapp.com/ https://www.alfredapp.com/
- SSLy 1y agohow would one compare alfred and raycast? I've never owned a mac before, just got one a month ago.
- pier25 1y agoAlfred is not as flashy but it's an extremely mature native macOS app. They've been improving it for 15+ years. No subscription either. Since it was release I've seen people frequently complaining about Raycast's memory consumption. There's a lot of overlap in terms of features.
- theshrike79 1y agoAlfred is old and efficient, not very flashy or bling-blingy. And zero AI integration, definitely no subscriptions. It also Just Works and stays out of the way until you need it. I've replaced spotlight with Alfred maybe a decade ago and haven't looked back since.
- halpow 1y agoThe fun part is that Spotlight used to do this, but they progressively made it worse year after year. It became completely unusable for me maybe a couple of years ago and switched to Raycast, which I use exactly like I used to use Spotlight in 2010 and nothing more.
