Good luck with that. I really do wish it works out for them, but it seems wildly unlikely. I'm not a law-talking guy, but I wonder... is it possible that this could permit the estate to learn some useful things in discovery? I can't imagine you'd win even if you found phone calls of executives saying, "Ha ha, those stupid SOBs, we're gonna kill 'em all with climate change but I'll be nice and rich in my pool". And we've already got plenty of evidence that they knew and hid the effects of their products. Still... you saw how effective "Climategate" was, despite it not being anything like the smoking gun they pretended it was. Perhaps they'd find something that could move some sort of needle a tiny bit?
