It's incidental that the largest businesses in the world have apps on the Apple App Store, but it's not because the App Store is a great platform. If no one is selling annual $100/yr apps, but Apple is charging you that much, you're the customer. There is absolutely no world where polished software that you can own is $2.99, sorry folks.
