Macrophage targeted mRNA. Wonderful.
Now do TB & leprosy.
- meindnoch 1y agoLeprosy is non-existent in the developed world, and can be cured with antibiotics.
- jitl 1y agoTrue that it’s preventable if caught early enough in infection. However the nerve damage caused by the leprosy bacteria is much harder to treat and continues the harm even after antibiotic treatment.
- kylehotchkiss 1y agoThe developed world is not the only place medicine matters, and the treatment course is months of antibiotics, which not adhering to can lead to antibiotic resistance. So treatment paths that can more deeply/directly eliminate the bacteria without that duration is a worthwhile research target.
