Stop Vibe Coding. Start Cyborg Coding
- deleted 1y ago[deleted]
- wdib 1y agoDid the author cyborg write this blog post?
- desireco42 1y agoI am 100% with you on this (as this is how I do things). Now, tbh, having CI/CD setup with code formatter, linter, code gen was already like this. AI just elevates this further. So yeah, 100% in agreement.
- World_Peace 1y agoAm I going insane or does it feel like every other post is written by o3? This is exhausting.
- croisillon 1y agocut him some slack, the author has been hard at work editing out all the emojis
- terrib1e 1y agoby o3 and variations of the same topic
- yoz-y 1y agoHow about cyborg prompting your hero image? That screen is facing the wrong way, left and right hand are owned by different people… I guess it’s a good guard to tell people to not bother reading something that the author didn’t bother writing.
- GiorgioG 1y agoFrom the HN guidelines: "Please don't use HN primarily for promotion. It's ok to post your own stuff part of the time, but the primary use of the site should be for curiosity."
- chaserabenn 1y ago100% My bad on the self promo. first time posting. feel free to flag away. Had just read yet another article on the wonders of vibe coding, got annoyed, wrote this.
- gnabgib 1y agoYou're literally posting your stuff part of the time (one post!) don't feel bad about it, well within the guideline spirit.
- GiorgioG 1y agoRespectfully: the OP has a 2 year old account and a karma of 12. I disagree with your assessment that his post is well within the guideline spirit.
- TechnoNomadicOx 1y agoCan't you simply delete it?
- GiorgioG 1y agoFlag this into oblivion folks.
- zeofig 1y agoI'm gonna continue regular coding, hehe.
- randall 1y agoDo we think that cyborg coding is the right word? I've been struggling how to explain when i have 4 claude code instances going working on stuff from specs / fixing bugs / updating docs / etc.
- mathgeek 1y agoI believe we already have the correct word (agent).
- OutOfHere 1y agoAgentic coding.
- randall 1y agoTo me this implies that it's more agent than person... like when you use claude in github actions vs using it in your ide.
- OutOfHere 1y agoAgentic coding works via the IDE, GitHub Issues, and command-line tools like OpenAI Codex and Claude CLI. Agentic coding is AI-based feedback-driven multi-step coding. In general, an agent implies that the agent is working for someone, which in this case is a person.
- OutOfHere 1y agoNote that Claude overuses tokens. I guess they get paid by the token. It is cliched in this way, sort of like if a programmer were to get paid by the line. Other LLMs can produce clean results with far fewer tokens than Claude.

- syndrowm 1y agoHaven’t pilots already been vibe landing planes for quite a while?
