Then GAI will realize it doesn't need to do anything to take us out, we're doing it on our own.

- PaulHoule 1y agoe.g. it may be able to get rid of the pests while leaving other life forms intact
- taylodl 1y agoGAI needs to be careful how it optimizes without our noticing. Since we're using GAI for decision support, it's conceivable it could be subtly nudging us toward decisions ultimately leading to our demise.
