An overnight SF-LA train will work IF:
- They time it exactly right, so something like boarding at 10pm, reaching at 7am, and I am able to get a full night of sleep in the middle.
- They price it to be competitive with a $79 flight or $60 worth of gas.
I'm assuming both of them, especially the second, will be a solid "no".
- ghaff 1y agoAnd... there's convenient car rental at arrival which will almost certainly be needed in LA. And the price will almost certainly be in the hundreds of dollars. Without looking it up, I'm assuming the price for a non-sleeper is over $100 today.
