    I would rather corn not be purchased to be made into corn syrup, then crammed into candy on such a scale that there is enough waste to feed livestock. Can we work on that?

    real food is compostable, allowing it to contribute right back to the food production system. I'm not sure if this applies to stale Fruit Loops though. I certainly don't want them anywhere near my food supply.
