My wife is a nurse and is basically unreachable via voice while she is working, but texting she can get back to me when she isn't actively with a patient. A company was trying to follow up on a contact form. They called me while I was in a meeting, I used my "screen call" feature to tell them to call me back in 2 hours. They called me back in 1.5 hours when I was in another meeting, didn't leave a voice mail or call me back. A simple text of "When are you available to speak" would have been 1000x more productive. Yes, there are definitely cases where a phone call is faster than text. But the opposite is also true.
