This is one thing I don't understand. Do the modern day followers of various religions not realize that they were founded by borderline drunks and psychonauts? These people don't just "talk to the gods" while completely sober; they're railed on a whole plethora of wonderful psychotropics. If any single follower of any religion wants to find out where it came from, eat a handful of mushrooms.
