Although I'm not a programmer, I type 126 wpm as a legal admin. At the beginning, it was an asset. I find though that it enables my fingers to keep up with my mind - what the author writes about - but that this can be a real flaw in the business world. Writing four nuanced paragraphs because it takes you a few seconds is much less desirable than short notes.
