- tptacek 1y agoI don't know the full answer to this question, but I have a partial answer: they should at least stop doing tedious tasks that LLMs do better.
- asadotzler 1y agoSome of us thrive in tedium, and also do it better than bots.

- p-o 1y agoUnrelated to your friends, but a big part of learning is to do tedious tasks. Maybe once you master a topic LLMs can be better, but for many folks out there, using LLMs as a shortcut can impede learning.
- tptacek 1y agoI'm ~8,000 XP into MathAcademy right now, doing the calculus stuff I skipped by not going to college. I'm doing a lot, lot, lot of tedious practice. But I know why I'm doing it, and when I'm doing doing it, I'm going to go back to using SageMath to do actual work.
