100% agree with this, but I am definitely not endorsing that we should use LLMs to propagate propaganda.
I also think the whole "safety" thing was just befuddling. You can't regulate software, not really, just its commercial sale
- Spooky23 1y agoWe can and should regulate software being used to shape public opinion. It’s probably the great threat of our generation.
- MangoToupe 1y agoI mean we can and should try, but laws mostly stop honest people from hurting each other. But the underlying software is inherently out there and you can't put the toothpaste back in the tube.
