99% of the time that I communicate about temperature, it’s in relation to the weather. Fahrenheit optimizes for the right thing. “How does it feel on a scale of 0-100?” is the nr 1 thing I use temperature for, nothing else comes close.

- fsckboy 1y agoomg! i've never seen that xkcd before, but on my own I do think switching to metric doesn't have much payoff for the average person, and I buy all the same socks! It's awesome for folding, for losing them one at a time, etc.
