Show HN: A site for YC rejection stories
Got rejected from YC a few times, so I built a site to collect lessons, reflections, and what people would do differently next time. Thought it could be helpful since most founders apply more than once anyway :)
Hope it's helpful: https://ycrejection.com/ https://ycrejection.com/
- ergocoder 1y agoThe website looks like it was built by AI. How long did it take you to build this?
- tmelm 1y agoInspecting the source confirms your suspicions. My guess is 15 minutes.
- vmeklis 1y agowhy is it bad if he/she uesed AI to built it, its actually interesting to see those stories gathered up
- khalilosman123 1y agofeel free to post your story :)
- khalilosman123 1y agoofc I built it with AI. Care more about the learnings vs spending time creating a website
- bitbasher 1y agoGreat mindset, I understand the rejection!
- ergocoder 1y agoYeah. I'm interested in building a website with AI. I'm actually looking to build one e.g. a curated list of Xs. Still deciding what X should be e.g. free cool rooftop places in SF for example. That's why I asked how long it took to build one. You are easily getting defensive about it.
- khalilosman123 1y agoNice! There are a variety of tools to use just depends on how you prompt it. Go with bolt or lovable. Both great tools!
- potato-peeler 1y agoFor some reason it shows a blank page on older browsers. iOS 13.6.
- khalilosman123 1y agothat's odd can you try again
- potato-peeler 1y agoSame, blank white page
- andrewmcwatters 1y agoI’m surprised that there isn’t a part of bookface where repeat YC fundees can discuss failures. Or is the focus on sharing these stories with those who have never received funding in previous batches?
- khalilosman123 1y agotbh i just think it's great to just share the stories. Would you mind posting yours :)
