- josephcsible 1y agotl;dr: the New Jersey Turnpike Authority granted Applegreen New Jersey Welcome Centres LLC a monopoly on EV charging along the turnpike, in exchange for 5-10% of their revenue, so the existing charging stations on it (this post is about the Tesla Superchargers specifically) are all being torn down in favor of theirs.
