Convicted, not "charged". The ban is for 5 years only. She is able to appeal. She is also getting special treatment in having her appeal date moved ahead of the 2027 election. Even if the appeal doesn't go her way she'll spend 2 years with an ankle bracelet and never see the inside of a cell. How cruel must France be to deny Le Pen her 4th try at becoming president. France has 66 million people, but god forbid they find a better servant of the people instead of putting this weathered nutsack on the ballot for 20 years.
