The poster you asked for proof was countering anecdotal claim with their own — why did you not join them in asking for the proof first? Anyway, this is all rhetorical — as I said, just pointing out that you are not being fair to the poster you replied to, because if you were, you would have asked exactly what you asked here: "is there any source for any of these claims either way?"
