Would this offer any mitigation against Crowdstrike type-scenarios? Like, would it make rolling back broken kernel badness easier?

- NoPicklez 1y agoI don't think so, all this would do is push through the update through a central place. If the update is bad and causes a Kernel panic it will still to do regardless of where the update is coming from. Microsoft isn't going to test any of the updates themselves before it sends them through the central update feature
- jollyllama 1y agoSure, but don't windows updates have some kind of associated system recovery integration, such that you could boot to recovery and restore to a pre-update backup?
- hulitu 1y agoI think the Antivirus is special.
