Ask HN: Will removing language barriers via AI make discrimination more obvious?
People will no longer be able to rely on language barriers as a socially acceptable form of discrimination.
And so, discrimination may soon become much more obvious.
- magicalhippo 1y agoI'm a white guy so what do I know, but I'd imagine the "performed racisim" is much worse than the "spoken racism", and it seems to me it wouldn't meaningfully be affected by a lack of language barrier. I'm thinking of just not hiring someone, "forgetting" to be inclusive and so on.
