Yesterday, the operators of Artfight, the yearly art trading game, reported a breach that affected perhaps a few hundred people(an XSS attack through a news post comment that scooped up autofill information). Users were panicked, in large part because they never hear about breaches affecting them. I believe the industry should work towards mandating communication on these incidents instead of maintaining the charade that nothing is happening. This needs to come through one of legislation or labor action.
