Democracy is a process, and guarantees no results. As the post says, Hamas was elected. And after Mubarak Egypt elected the Muslim Brotherhood, which was subsequently removed from power by the Army. The idea that Democracy is superior to any other form of government is a fiction. The fact that you believe in the Magical Power of Democracy shows that you really haven't thought about it that much. Example: if Democracy is so good, why do most judicial systems require a unanimous verdict? Shouldn't a majority vote be good enough? Why do some things require a super-majority instead of a simple majority? Why is 50%+1 a magic number? Every political system has issues. Saying that any criticism is disparagement also shows that you don't really understand how discussions work. You should read up on the history of political systems etc so you can make better arguments.
