Despite the title, I found most of the advice to be just as useful to me from the other side of the pond. In particular something that I've been struggling with, that I didn't know how to phrase before, is this idea of simultaneously having to fit in and stand out. [1] That's hard because they kind of seem like mutually exclusive concepts at first and it can really depend on the company whether is something unique in a good way or a bad way.
