      I think the anecdata in this case is worthless without at least naming one concrete example of 'some companies'.

        My wifes company banned travel to the US. It is a few thousand people in British Columbia. She was planning to go to the Microsoft Build conference in Seattle and was told she could not go. The name is irrelevant.
